it was blue plastic, looked like an accordian file, but smaller. I've tried to use a binder system, but it just didn't work for me.

It holds the large size index cards. I have the large index cards with tabs and the tabs are labeled. It holds a ton of coupons which is exactly what I needed.

sounds like what Kristy has, I used the recipe category cards but taped over with my coupon categories... they are laminated so they have lasted me a long time. The actual recipe box is like Rubbermaid/Tupperware but honestly the "hinge" on the back is starting to look thin; I am thinking I should get a new one before this one opens in the store!

I carry all my clipped. Course I have milk crates full of inserts that aren't clipped.

i found them at walmart they are had plastic index cards muti-colored and labeled a-z.they sell them in 2 sizes i carry them in a zippered make-up bag.i have used recipe boxes and index card holder boxes in the past.i was looking for an easier method because my hubby is deployed so i do shopping with my 3 kids.i want to maximize my savings and save more time at the store i am doing too much sorting. 9|1|a MESS LOL i have to clean it up and take out old ones UGH!|Jacqui_OHIO|swaptonz@yahoo.com|16:17:07|11/06/2009|

I have an extra binder set up with the inserts and holders if you want it... its the zipper kind with a pocket on the inside,,, 2" i think... I always had two binders (one for food and one for non-food), but I combined down to one for ease... Its got a little wear but still way usable.... jlmk and I can send it out beginning of next week :)
