about 3 weeks ago..my hip started hurting(done the same 4months ago,,but cleared up after a cortizone shot) anyway...my hip hurt...then down my leg ,in my calf..all the way to my ankle

finally the pain got so bad..i had to go to dr.....(which i have avoided..as i dont want to raise the bills with my hub being laid off) anyway..told my dr..my hip and leg was killing me.......

i end up with a pain shot and another cortizone shot........i had laid it all to just getting older , arithis and such...they say its my back..causing all the problems.......which i have had back

problems before..i have 2 disk...the chiropracter says ...is completely turned around from where they should be...but says only help for them is surgery..which he doesnt recommend.......

anyway...ive dealt with this pain for over two wks now.along with the pain..my leg feels like its asleep all the time tingling..anyway........ive let my house work go...and done as little as i can get by with..........

today i figure what the heck...its not any better...and the fairy isnt gonna come here and do my work like i had hoped..lol.......so i get down on all fours and scrub my bathroom tile........

and...it didnt make it hurt any worse..........but now..not only does my leg hurt..and feel tingly........my left arm also feels tingly..all the way down to my pinky.........

any suggestions for some relief of this???????????????

I usually take some motrin or aleve before I do any work then it helps to loosen the muscles and nerves before hand and the pain is not so bad. heat is a definite and lay flat with the heat on.tkae the motrin too. (or aleve, whatever works for you) 6|2|ive soaked........soaked some more............stretched.........been on the inversion table.......|couponsnsamples|cpsnsamples@aol.com|21:34:33|11/04/2009|

I think maybe you should go to the doctor..after 2 weeks and the tingling..that doesn't sound good.
I hope you feel better soon! 3|1|I dont know if an anti-inflammatory like Motrin might help...and ask the chiro if he recommends heat or ice....I would venture to say ice, but check with him first :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|21:31:29|11/04/2009|

only I like heat better, because it feels comforting and I dont like to be cold 7|3|LOL, why thank you nurse Debi :) The only thing with heat is it will further inflame any swollen tissue...but often they will recommend alternating heat and ice as well....at least that is what the PT's do at work sometimes.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|21:35:28|11/04/2009|

our insurance only pays part of it.....and i have to pay the rest........with unemployment as our only income...that is not an option right now......

besides that..........i dont feel like being aggriviated with someone trying to do therpy........when i hurt....im like an injuried dog......i bite..LOL 9|5|One thing you could do, is go to maybe two or three therapy sessions to have them teach you the exercizes that would benefit you....then do them at home on your own....I did that when I had tendonitis in my shoulder a few yrs back, kept the cost way down, and they gave me thera-bands to work with at home, taught me how to do an ice massage, and stretches to help. If you could swing two sessions, I would highly recommend it! :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|21:43:37|11/04/2009|

Has several different attachments to dig into & loosen the pinched nerves & muscles, for those times when I can't get into see my chiropractor right away, or just don't feel like going. It's been a life-saver, like the many times I fall asleep reading & wake up a painfully stiff neck or shoulder blade, or get a cramp in my stomach muscle from my back.
If you already have bad disks in your back, that could easily be causing the pain & tingling in your leg & arm. Sorry you're having to suffer so much w/it but sending positive thoughts & prayers you'll get some relief. :)
