I had seen Linda's post about the CVS $4/20 coupons, but they weren't in our clip free coupon savings booklet here, so I asked at the front desk. She said she didn't know, but she happened to have a new Christmas catalog that they had just received for distribution, and when she looked in there she found the $4 coupon.
She tried to use the coupon and it wouldn't work. She asked another girl and the girl said that they were having trouble getting the coupons to work....she thought maybe the coupon was only good on the catalog merchandise, even though it doesn't say anything about it.
So the cashier called their 800 # and the explanation was downright weird. She said that at the time they give you a catalog, they rip the coupon out and scan it (and take the coupon from you and put it in their drawer), BUT you don't get the $4 savings right then!! Supposedly, sometime down the line (but she didn't know when), you will receive a $4 ECB for the coupon!?! What? Just crazy! I went and did a second purchase to see if it would print out and it wouldn't.
What a mess! They are gonna have a lot of angry customers on their hands if they don't get it straightened out quick. or at least credit you $4 in ecb's. That is soo stupid they want to give people credit...later on down the line...they will have a lot of angry people, that is false advertisement!

That's where I got one, and since you're in the same state, maybe you can find it in the catalog too. Although they aren't too useful right now, maybe once they get them straightened out....
And Linda, you certainly couldn't have known...it sounds like it might even be a different coupon than the one you posted about since ours seem to be in this Christmas catalog

I'm looking at the catalog and it does say on the back in pale small letters.... "your extra bucks will print on your receipt immediately following qualifying purchase(s) for use on your next purchase", but that's kind of vague considering nowhere on the coupon or in the rest of the book does it say anything about it having to be used ONLY on the merchandise in the catalog. It just says "Spend $20 get $4 extra bucks".
What a mess. I agree with you Kandy. The one at Church Hill mall used to be so great about stocking enough of the items for ECBs, but now you can forget about getting any good deals if you arrive after noon on the first day of the sale.
