Opinions.. I am on Ebay, bid on item with 0 bids in last half hr (soon to end).. so I bid the max I would give w/s&h, etc.. get email I'm outbidded, then shows up I won..
I look at bid history and the person had jacked me up to the highest I had bid, then retracted their last bid..
hmmm.. made me think shill bidding..
I go look at their feedback page .. scan over a few previous auctions and bidding history .
and sure enough t***i(44) was listed on the majority of them..
I reported them to ebay and kindly wrote the ebayer that they should look at the enclosed link for shill
bidding..
she wrote back and admitted, yes my mom bids on my items.. ugh
now, I refuse to pay a shill bidder..
opinions?? I have already reported to Ebay and confronted seller....

You could ask them to cancel the transaction - they have the ability to do that. There are two ways for a seller to cancel a transaction - one will give you a strike on your record and one won't (I think it will tell you in the email that ebay sends when the seller initiates a transaction cancel). Even if you get a strike on your record, it doesn't mean much of anything these days -- you can even ask Ebay and they will remove your first strike for you with no evidence against the seller needed.

Sounds like she is getting her mom to bid in order to increase what she makes off of the item and when someone doesn't outbid the mom she goes to the previous bidder. Not right at all.

Thank you for the heads up. I've never heard of Shill bidding before, but I think you've got me a little confused. Britts-playtime is my mom's account. She occasionally bids on my stuff( 90% sounds like a lot more than I noticed, but i haven't been checking up), she's told me about it but I didn't really think much of it. I guess i just assumed she'd get over it, especially since she's won a few of them and I had to figure out what to do!!!
I did read that info tho, i'll talk to her. I guess i never really thought it was a big deal, but if eBay says so it must be. Not to mention that I wouldn't want to be on the other side.
