They were free so I am taking a chance. I read somewhere that you can freeze them and then just thaw for awhile (all of this should be in a ziploc just in case) and that they taste fine but they might not rise quite as much as normal. HTH 3|2|Don't they pop open when they're frozen in the cans, Vanessa? That's what I had thought would happen....|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|14:51:29|10/27/2009|

I would think they would be fine to freeze but then when you thaw them and they expand would be when they'd explode.

At first I had pulled them out of the freezer and they sat on the counter, but then I read the post that said they were better off thawing in fridge, so I tossed them in there and waited for dinner time. I had some chicken/veggies/cream of mushroom soup in the crock pot and wanted the biscuits with that for dinner tonight. As the evening progressed I realized it would be just me and the 2 young daughters (dh has a meeting and older DD has her play practice), so about an hour ago I figured we should eat.

I got them out of fridge and carefully looked them over and can report that they looked great, just perfectly sealed. Time to open them.

Normally I only make these types of biscuits when dh or older daughter is home because (and I really wish I could put this in a tiny font because normal people do not have phobias like I do) I am afraid to open them! There, I said it! I hope you all still like me, odd phobias and all and I won't even tell you my worst phobia because then you'll really think I am weird!

I spent 5 minutes trying to talk the 9 year old into opening them, but she seemed to think that I just trying to foster off more work on her and didn't want anything to do with it. I briefly considered just putting them back in fridge, but I had said I would come back on here to report what happened so I just held my breath, pointed the tube away from my face and started pulling off the blue wrapper. And then, NOTHING happened. So, I thumped the package against the side of the counter while preparing to duck and narrowing my eyes in case any biscuit dough came flying out to impale me (yes, I know the biscuit tub is not sharp, but that thing feels like a weapon when it explodes open, so I think impale fits). And, nothing happened. I got a knife and tore into the seam and saw that the dough inside had shrunk down (Score one for Kristy's brain!), so I breathed a sigh of relief knowing I was no longer in imminent danger.

They cooked up just fine-- a little flatter than normal but fine for what I needed them for.
I would freeze them again in ziplocs anytime.
12|9|LMBO Vanessa my dh hates opening them too.. it's not just you !!!|Kristy|mi3zons1@yahoo.com|22:13:02|10/27/2009|

I've only had one bust open on me... but all those things in the rolls seem to freeze/dethaw just fine, just thaw them in the fridge not on the counter (thats where my one popped!)
