I don't want anyone mad at me, but I'm totally lost as to what to do. I sent someone a $25 gift card by email as a swap gift. Somehow it was lost, so she contacted me to see if I could get it replaced. Finally after a lot of griping at this place they replaced it but sent it to me by email saying it was not transferable. So I went to store & bought a gift card for same amount, so I'm out another $25, now it has never arrived. I of course just put it into an envie & mailed no tracking or anything so no way to trace. I can't afford another $25 but feel bad & don't know how to handle this or what to do. Any suggestions?? Any help would be appreciated.

One I sent by email, she received but somehow lost her emails so it got lost. Instead of company replacing it for her, they replaced it in my name saying it could not be transferred. So I replaced it & mailed a second one but it's never arrived. Does this make better sense as to what has happened?

first about the email.....she rec'd her end...trade should be done. (I hate that she lost the email..been there done that)
YOU went above by getting it replaced....
I once bought a code and it was sent to me..and then my computer crashed..i lost the number
the seller didn't keep track of it...so i was out!! my fault.
as for sending it... I think that was an added plus that you sent it...and I hate that the person didn't get it.
I'm still hoping that it's just LATE and it will show up..
If I'm paid for something...and rec'd the money..then I feel it's up to me that the person gets their end.
so i guess I would have sent with delivery confirmation....to prove it was mailed...
I know it's upsetting..esp when you know that you sent it...and it's out of your control once you put it in the mailbox!

It seems to me that it would be time to file the report with the post office and see if there is a problem on their end. To have 2 envelopes lost/ not arrived suggests that it could be someone within the postal system taking them.
I don't think you should have to replace the item again since you are now out $50.

So do you know the approximate day you sent the email one to her?
She could carefully go through all of her spam/all emails and see if it is there since sometimes they are easy to miss.

It's just not transferable so I can't send it to her. I'm just out the other $25 as I replaced it a second time but it hasn't arrived. I just spoke with my post office & due to it being mailed with no tracking or anything there is no way that it can be traced.

It was charged to my credit card, but they couldn't find it in her name, so they finally traced the charge on my card & sent it to me but it says right on it not transferable. I just feel bad. I just can't prove that I replaced it as I don't keep my receipts for that long. I just never thought about keeping it. It's just not something that I ever thought about. It's a mess

i sent someone 50 FREE freshpet.. that never showed up :( i know know what to do as i can't get those back?
then i sent a second trade that came back saysing no such number but i confirmed it was the RIGHT Address.. sent it back out it got there..
someone today just sent ME a letter that came back to them syaing my hosue was no such number although it had the CORRECT address.. it came back to that person and she had to mail back out to me..
i LOVE getting mail.. but sometimes the hassles...

I never said I was out $50 & I never said you asked me to replace. I offered it out of kindness because of the screwed up mess that FB did. I never saw the first gift cert. to you, I ordered it & it was sent to you. I had no idea that you didn't have a printer, you never told me. I did go to FB & replace it, I just never thought to put tracking on this envie as it was technically not a swap box but a replacement that I took upon myself to replace. I feel really bad about this & was just trying to see if I should replace for a third time or what anyone else thought I should do. No one knew who was involved as I had no intention's of posting your name. I'm sorry if you think I was unfair, I thought it was the right thing to do as I thought if everyone thought I should replace again, I'd scrape up the money again & do it. I was trying to be fair to you. I'd love to give you the one that FB sent to me, it's still in my email unused as I haven't found anything that I need bad enough to use it. If you want to contact me again, with your address again, as I told you I erased the email's with your address after we were swap partner's, I will go again to FB, & send you another card this time with DC on it. I just don't want anyone mad at me for something that I had nothing to do with. I can't help that this happened & I just want to make it right with you & me also. What else do you want to do?? My mail comes through at 4, I get the lovely baggie with shredded envie & tore up gift card & of course the I'm sorry. It took a month for them to return this to me. Now I can take this one tomorrow to see if they will make it right. It's broke in 3 places, but all pieces are in the bag. If only I had picked up my mail at PO like I usually do when Jodie's boxes come in, I'd had it & would have known what happened.
