2. turkey raffle at church today ( fund raiser)
3. i bought some tickets.
4. i won the turkey.
5. it is frozen.
6. i have no room in my freezer. (i have lots of hungry man dinners).
7. dinner is wednesday night.

But Rebekka is onto something by mentioning that you could donate it. Every 1st part of Nov. & Dec. we have Poultry Fests/Shindigs around here & bingo is played to win turkeys, chickens, hams, etc. We've been blessed many times, always winning more than we have room for, so we donate alot to our church which has a Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thanksgiving Day & a Community Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day every year. This is to try & make sure that NOONE is alone & hungry on these special holidays & to emphasize the importance of just being together among friends, family & of course, new friends. :) People from all over come for the Community dinners so EVERYONE is welcome & it makes NO difference whether you're rich or poor, a church member or not, & you can even get carry-outs to take home or have it delivered if need be. But several turkeys, tons of potatoes, veggies, cranberry sauce, lefse, pie, etc. is needed w/all of it coming from donations.
If a church in your area has Community Dinners, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to accept that bird. :D

but i do this for a reason
one of the couples coming have no heat in their home. a hot dinner is a good thing. they are cooking on a propane grill.
i share my extra's with my friends. am doing care packages for all my not so bountiful friends this year.
shampoo, body wash, razors, shave cream, deodorant, tylenol, rolaids, cat treats. if i can get this stuff for free or next to free this is money they don't have to spend on this stuff and maybe can do other things---- like pay the water bill.
