Your immune system needs to be able to work w/the vaccination to build up a resistance to whatever the vaccination is for.

Tamiflu if you do so within two day of showing symptoms. Tamiflu will cut down on the severity of the flu and help clear it up quickly. But you only have a two-day window of opportunity, or else the Tamiflu is worthless against the flu.
