My mother-in-law who was very ill died Wed. morning. She had been in the hospital for over three weeks. Her husband insisted on having her put on life support despite her earlier objections and the Drs. asking him to reconsider because they felt she would never recover. The doctors talked to my husband and explained to him that she was dying and suffering. Hubby talked to his dad and a meeting with the ethics commitee took place to approve her being taken off life support. Her death was long and painful. After 12 hours of struggling to breathe, she died with my husband at her side. He is taking her death hard as he asked to have her taken off life support. The docs and I have assured him he made the right decision by supporting her wishes to let her go. We have the funeral behind us and are trying to get back in our daily routine. We need your prayers. Especially remember my father in law, my husband and our daughter. Thanks to all of you.
