he works at a quick lube place,,but they do all types of mechanic jobs,tires,ect
he had been working on a tire..and it wouldnt seal........so one of the other boys come over and help him.....they decided to replace the val stem and start all over........just about time he reached for the stem........the tire exploded...........blew both of them backwards......my sil .......has cut on his head,cant hear well, from the explosion.....it nearly cut his pinkie finger off.....and he blew a big gash in his wrist..............my daughter was pulling up to pick him up at work and there was the paramedics,ambulances..ect......scared her half to death..........
the other boy...he had a big gash on his head..brusied down one complete side of his head,face cut and scratched all over.......cut on back of one arm......and his thumb is nearly torn off.....and they didnt know if it was repairable or not as of last night and i havent heard from him today, also he cant hear well................
im glad they are some what ok...........but now i dont know what my daughter and her family are gonna do.....when he is working they can barely make ends meet....with 4 kids....and two of them in diapers......and now he is gonna be off for no telling how long....and holidays coming up......they arent sure yet about workmans comp...or if the boss might just pay them..while they are off.......hopefully...he pays the dr bills too......cause they dont have insurance........... 1|1|Oh my gosh! I hope they both are able to mend up quickly....the medical expenses would most DEFINITELY be covered by work comp. He wasnt doing anything out of the ordinary for the task he had to do, wasnt being unsafe, it was just a freak accident. I know it still not his regular pay but every little bit helps in a situation like that.
