I've been to 25 walmarts the last week..and all empty shelves. If anyone finds these and can
pick some up for me.I would be soooo happy. any color.....it's crazy not to find them anywhere...
they are $8.00 if you can find them!!

I have yet to find the Zhu Zhu hampster, but I happened to be a Cracker Barrel checking out their Halloween stuff when I found their knock-off of the Zhu Zhu pet. It's called the Wheel Runner and cost $9.99. It's a little furry hampster and a spinning wheel for it to run inside of. It requires (2) AAA batteries. I did not see any other accessories like the Zhu Zhu pets have. I thought they were cute and I bought two to give away to the mailman's toy drive next month.

Since I was out and had to go to several WM and Target stores for work I checked all stores I was in today.
No luck here either.
All WM stores here said as soon they put them out and one person sees them they usually buy them all.
Target stores laughed and me and thought I was nuts-o asking about them. They had no clue what they were. Sort of like I had no clue either till I finally looked up what they were on the internet when you all started posting.
I'm still keep my eyes open for you all.

There are already tons of these on ebay that people have grabbed up to make a huge windfall off of :(
I really don't see how these people sleep nights.
Fortunately, most parents can afford the $8 that they "were" selling for at Wal-Mart. But they can't afford the $25 - $40 for this toy plus shipping charges so a lot of kids won't be getting this for Christmas.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if NOBODY bought these toys at the inflated prices and the greedy people got stuck with all these toys that they can't sell???

I remember when people were price gouging Tickle Me Elmo one year on Craigslist, the posters on CL flagged them if they were asking more than a couple of dollars over the retail price of Elmo and the posts were deleted!! It was sooo cool. multiples of their hot sale items I have coupons for. I've even had grumpy meat men when I've asked for four or five packages of the on sale product. I know most stores and TRU being one has put limits on the amount you can purchase and that's fine but if the store has no limits then it's a free market. From what I've been told the stores aren't getting tons Zhu zhu pets. Which is driving demand even more.

I mean we are talking toys here, not necessities such as food or gasoline. Supply and demand is a way for the manufacturer's to make money too....to ensure that the cost of making the product is recooped by only making what will sell (take XBox360 or the iPhone for example). I live in an itty bitty town on the side of a mountain and nobody I mean nobody shops here (ok that is an exageration but thats how it seems)... Anywho, if these are still needed we have a few stores here that carry toys and I've yet to find them not having a deal going on... or the hot toys every Christmas!!!

That's SO bizarre. The HOT toys there, are often unheard of here. I have made a list of various stores to phone on a daily basis, and I will rush out and get whatever I can, IF/when I ever learn of any, especially for you and the Christmas angels. HTH!!
