Between that and my pay we still won't be able to pay everything in full each month but will keep us from getting stuff cut off. for the month of Sept. and I had to wait for that one to come and send in a copy of the paystub and we had to have papers signed from his last two jobs and my job so that was the hold up. I am supposed to be getting a letter which I hope comes on Tues. that has a paper that Bill has to have notorized, I am thinking because his last job never sent the paper work back to welfare, then some kind of paper for my work and copies of all his Sept. paystubs which I already turned it but they want them again. have you thought about doing that angel food ministries thing for low cost food? they have those 25 dollar boxes of food plus other customized boxes, and I know that they have locations in your state. i'd recommend checking that out!

and I was going to check them out and see what they have to offer since they do take food stamps. Plus they are just down the road from where I live for pick up also. 6|1|I am very surprised that they didn't offer you some emergency funds to tide you over until the stamps kicked in...especialy with children. You can only get immediate emergency food stamp/cash assistance if your income is less than $150 for the month, or if you are fleeing domestic violence. I'm sure that it varies a bit from state to state, but it surprised me that they do it that way.

that my sister in law gets a $200 gas card a month to help pay for her gas to go back and forth to work. She works full time, gets a little child support, has two kids and shares living arrangements with her mother, so I am going to ask her how the heck she got that, because right now my little checks all go for food and gas and nothing else and that sure would help us out alot. I believe here you can apply anytime beginning the last week in Sept.
ETA: Not sure about other states but here, they go by your previous 3 month's worth of income so if you get laid off, etc., it's best to wait a little bit if your income is going to decrease cuz it'll work more in your favor. Then too, you don't want to wait too long cuz the funding for it could run out.

and is only $83 a month it is my electric that is high, around $140.00 a month and will be doubled with this months bill. My neighbor said that the Salvation Army will help pay it but you have to have a shut office notice first. So when I get the bill I will call them and see what they say. employment site says two check payments dated for today plus hubby said that there was something else on there for a payment of $25 twice. I just checked my bank account and there has not been any direct deposit from them for today. So I am hoping that it shows up later today or that it means the payment will be made over night and show up tomorrow but then why did it say payment date was today? I don't know, I got happy to fast thinking I was going to be able to pay some of these mounting bills. If it isn't there by the time hubby gets up I will have to have him call and see what it all means.
