he is taking tylenol and still has a low fever 101 is that normal with swine flu for tylenol not to work ?

5|3|Gwen, I'm sorry your little guy is so sick :( Has he had children's Motrin before? Is it ok for him to take that? Didn't he get any meds from the dr. who diagnosed him???
From what I've been reading about the symptoms of the swine flu, a high temp is not uncommon w/it, but if it doesn't subside some w/a fever reducer or if it goes any higher, I'd take him in to ER. Especially if he starts showing any signs of having a difficult time breathing, dehydration &/or delirium. This kind of flu strikes me as nothing to mess around with.
ETA: And like someone else said, try to be careful so you don't get it yourself but don't hesitate to go in if you come down w/the same symptoms.

ds is doing ok the fever is gone since 9 pm last night lets hope the worst part is over he is still congested in his chest and had terrible head congestion keep those prayers coming they are working

ds fever is still coming and going it was 101.6 tonight the dr said to watch him and if he is still running a fever wednesday he would do blood work to see if he had anything else going on he said tamiflu should have stopped his fever after 48 hrs ds is playing etc but im still worried and am watching him like a hawk lol thanks for the prayers

im taking him back to the dr they said his lungs were ok yesterday bit today they surely arent i am going to ask for more testing also his tamiflu is almost finished wenesday will be his last doses his fever is still low grade but spikes to 101.5 sometimes ..ill post again later

dr did blood work said his chest congestion is normal progression of the flu and he should be fine in a few days
