Nov 15th will be 18 years ago since our 1st date. I asked him out (first time I had ever done that) after we had been looking at each other for about a month or so. I guess I was tired of waiting for him to ask. Funny thing is that I am totally shy in person and that was so out of character for me. He mistook my shyness for "stuck-up-ness", so if I hadn't ask it would have never happened.
I miss those days too, but these days are better in a lot of ways.
Back then I could not have imagined that he would become such a dear friend. That I could literally tell him anything and he would still stand in my corner or take my hand if I was scared. I could not have predicted all of the times since then that we would both be put to the test, and even knocked down sometimes, but we always dust each other off and get back up again and the next day is better.
I know Matt is like that for you too, Kristy, so here's to another 50+ years together! Easy years! ;0)

Seems like it was only yesterday... He had me from Hello!
