My mother and I do our grocery shopping every Wednesday at Wal-Mart. Living in the country as we do, it is the only store in our area, so we have no choice but to grin and bear it. Mama got in a line with a cashier who was afraid to honor her competritor's ads without CSM approval. It was taking so long, I went to a different check out. I had lots of ads and a huge stack of coupons, and knew about what my bill should be. When the cashier told me my total, my jaw hit the floor. I thought I must have miscalculated, so I paid for my groceries and trudged out of the store. I looked at my receipt when I got to the parking lot with fresh air to revive me. The cashier had made a HUGE error. When she "honored" my ads, she charged the Wal-Mart price as well as the sale price! Also several of my coupons had not been scanned. I scurried back in with my shopping cart and told the CSM I had a problem. After an hour of waiting while the register was closed, coupons pulled and items removed from my buggy, the error was corrected and I was refunded over $30. Fortunately, the cashier was removed as well. how many times i get the side eye from these cashiers when i use internet coupons and i dont care.. I pull out the corp policy and then i dial Corporate #.. people behind me huff and puff i wont budge ..
