Right now, I have a small barrel planter, but hope to expand next summer. I have the reliable chives, rosemary (which I will be harvesting shortly as it is not winter hardy in my area), lots of mint, lemon balm and maybe a little oregano left. I am not sure how to harvest seeds on most of these.

Thanks for answering my post!:) What kind of mint do you have? I'm looking for all kinds except I hate spearmint... I love lemon balm.. it smells so heavenly!! Well, normally around this time of year, your plants should start "bolting" or flowering and then as the flowers dry, there will be tiny little black seeds inside the dried flower buds.. I just shake the whole flower head into a paper bag.
