Kevin my 7 year old went to the dentist yesterday for his cleaning
well she found an abcess over 2 of his teeth
she took xray and said it was over one of the baby teeth but the tooth is not to come out for a long while yet
she wanted to pull it yesterday
so she asks me what i think
I THINK SHE LOST SOME BRAIN CELLS DURING HER CHILDBIRTH IN AUGUST
i told her i wanted him in meds to clear that mess out of there
HE had not complained of his gum or teeth hurting at all
that is why i didn't know it was there
if he had of complained he would have been on meds b4 now
so now next tuesday she wants to pull that tooth
she said the infection would infect the adult tooth waiting to come in if we don't get the baby tooth out
i really don't see why this tooth needs to come out when it will come out eventually
i think it is a money racket as usual with them as they put a crown on a tooth of his with out asking me about it
sooo plzzzzzzzzzz any input would be great
i don't want him to lose another tooth if it don't have to go

Even if she wants to pull the tooth, I think it would be best to have him on an antibotic anyway, to clear up any infection that's already there & keep it from possibly spreading.
Sometimes pulling an abscessed tooth is necessary but antibiotics should be given asap anyway so that when the tooth is pulled, the infection has been reduced & so there's no risk of "dry socket".

if not I would call his pediatrician and see what he says.meanwhile, get a second opinion aboiut pulling the tooth.

so i asked for high powered antibiotics so he is on them now
i was like you just don't let infection out like that
and he had the MRSA last year so i about flipped out
still he don't want to lose his tooth poor fellow !!

i think a second opinion is called for.especially if he is in no pain. i never heard of a 7-year old with an absessed tooth. my 18 year old son had an absessed tooth and he was in terrible pain. and you mentioned a crown without your knowledge another crazy bit. second opinion for sure
