I am sick of SPIDERS!!!! Ever since we moved to our own townhouse, near the creek and forest like area, we've been getting tons of spiders. Even the Bug Stop doesn't seem to be working and it's always worked before. I told Will we are gonna have to get something stronger cause I can't stand spiders, they freak me out :(

...that you should be thankful for spiders. That means that there are a lot of ants and other bugs around that the spiders are eating. So without them, you might have tons of other creepy crawlies!!! 2|2|Well hopefully if any get away, they will just stay away from me, cause I can't stand them at all...I have a nasty scar from a spider bite I got years back from a large spider, thing was UGLY~*~|RebekkaVA|queen_vulture@msn.com|01:01:10|09/20/2009|

I don't like any of them!! 4|1|I'm not overly fond of the buggers either. We also have to deal w/earwigs here & altho they're supposed to be harmless, they're uglier than sin. :(|maraj|maraj64@hotmail.com|21:21:34|09/20/2009|

BugStop has always been a sure thing for me for spiders, etc. but if there's alot of foilage/trees where you live, that might be why they're more abundant. I have 3 big pine trees out front & the neighbor on the one side of me has tons of them in their front yard. I'm not seeing anymore spiders than where I lived before but did have more earwigs here last year cuz of all the trees blocking the sun which helps to dry things out. My trees were pretty full w/the branches hanging way down so I had them trimmed back quite a bit last summer & I've noticed less earwigs this year. One of my nieces & her husband live in a log house in the country, surrounded by alot of trees. Between the log house itself & all the foilage, their house is a spider magnet. :(

ETA: When using the BugStop, make sure to spray it all along INSIDE your house FIRST, along the baseboards, under kitchen & bathroom cabinets, on the heat/cooling registers, behind furniture/fridge/stove, around door & window frames, etc. Just be careful around outlets & electronics. If you have a basement, also spray it all along the inside of the foundation down there, where the basement walls meet the upper level. Then, spray outside all along the foundation, including the inside of the garage where the garage meets the house, if you have an attached garage. Don't forget inside/outside around the dryer duct if you have one. If you spray on the outside 1st, the buggers will head for inside, so if you've already gone over the inside areas, it nails them much better as they're then trapped. :) Kind of like those Roach Motels where they "check in but can't check out". LOL

he says the same thing, Spiders kill all the other bugs but 'Icky' LOL... Right now they are building Huge webs around my outside lights, gotta go! I'll let them be around other areas, like the pool deck (since the pool is closed) but not close by.. we get the scary long fang ones around here, rubbery looking, and get very large.. Ewwwww

Hmmmm. just got a cute pair of black sneakers.... 6|3|Hairspray or Windex works pretty good if no shoe or BugStop is handy. LOLOL|maraj|maraj64@hotmail.com|10:52:22|09/21/2009|

I think the ammonia in the Windex is what does it but personal experience showed me it works on bees, spiders & ants, but I like the immediate, "freeze" affect of the hairspray. LOLOL

On the way home, I felt something touch the top of my head as we were driving home on the freeway.. it was a spider! He must've been on the ceiling of the car! Luckily, it was dark and I couldn't actually SEE how big it was or I might've caused an accident! I cupped my hand over it and then opened the window and tossed it out!! I remembered that I had put a piece of wood in the back of the car earlier that day.. geez... he must've been in the wood!!

ANYWAY... birds like spiders.... try coaxing more birds to your place by planting flowers that they like and putting bird baths and bird houses.
