Can I ask ya a quick question? My daughter twisted her ankle yesterday and today it's a bit swollen and a little painful (not severely painful, just tender).
I can never get it straight - heat or ice?
I put some aspercreme on it and told her no running around. I was wondering if I should wrap it in an ace bandage too or just leave it alone. Thanks!

id give her some ibuprofen or motrin and leave it be if it starts really hurting id do the cold pks i hope joy answers u soon :)

ETA: Dont wrap it for now, if you think it doesnt improve in the next couple days, she may need to go see the doc to make sure she doesnt have a severe sprain or fracture. Is she bearing weight at all on it? If she seriously cannot bear any weight on it at all, get her to the ER today for an xray. Also, is there bruising?? That would be another sign of sprain or fracture.

Ibuprofen is a great idea that I didn't think of. Thanks! I'll try to get her to do the ice packs if she'll sit still long enough.
