congradulations,my 18 yr old son will be going for his in a little while.he is doing very good but i can't stop being a nervous wreck driving with him. if you have a car worth less then 3000 then maybe going for just liability would work out i expect al least 300.00 for 6mns maybe more. 6|2|What insurance company is that??? I called my insurance co. awhile back to find out how much it would be for just Liability for my son - car's in his name. I was quoted at $600 for 6 mos. & that's ONLY if his driving record remains spotless, meaning not even a parking ticket. I could've cried about that quote, but it's due to the new-driver policy & because he's a male, which are proven to be higher risk drivers than females. :( Insurance is a MUST here cuz my state just passed a law in July that ALL drivers must be insured, or no driver's license.

7|3|We were told by our insurance agent, the tricks are to NOT have a car in their name, and IF you have as many cars as there are drivers in the household, you can insure them on the least expensive vehicle, but they can still drive any of the household vehicles as secondary drivers....we have an 82 Jeep CJ7 that costs us the least (liability only) and they will be listed on that vehicle, we were looking at about $700-750 every 6months for both the boys. (could be less with good student discount)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|20:07:32|09/09/2009|
