Hi, I have never seen this happen before and really am not sure what to do about it. Last week I called a hotel and made a reservation for two nights and used my pp debit card to reserve it. As usual they did the dollar hold. No problems there. Then when I got there, I used my pp debit card to pay for the room (Mom had lent me the money). Yesterday, the transaction said completed, the money was taken out of my pp. Today its back and it says transfer cancelled. I have no idea what happened or what I am supposed to do about it. I didnt cancel it. Anybody have any ideas??

See, I took my DH & 2 of his buddies up to northern AL because the unit they was pulled to go to Iraq with is scheduled for their yearly camp. So I drove the three of them up there and stayed the 2 nights they stayed at the hotel before heading to camp. (Soldiers who are in the process of being transfered and/or live more than 75 miles away from their drilling station get put up in hotels for their drill weekends & its payed for by the military) As I was leaving the hotel, after already having taken them up to the armory and going back to shower, the man who pays the military bill was going in. The only thing we can think of is maybe somehow he ended up paying my bill too?? Not sure really how that could happen, but the room was reserved under our last name but my first name. Oh, as a soldier coming from so far away (nearly 4 hrs) he had to sign for his half of a room even though he was stayin in the room I rented, therefore his name was on a room too. So maybe somehow they just said English and they pulled up my room, & it got payed that way, even though I had already paid it?? I dunno.

Only the soldiers rooms are. And technically, no one is allowed to stay in the rooms payed for by the military except for the soldiers. Thats why I had to rent my own room, in my name. Ive contacted a higher ranking person (than my dh) I know and am asking his for his thoughts on this, cause I really dont know what to do. If he's not sure then I guess I will call the hotel and see if I owe them any money.

just leave it... I am sure others would agree. I still think since your hubby stayed in the room with you it wouldnt be an issue. you might get the officer in trouble who paid since he knew you were in the room so might be best to just leave things the way they are.
also, as a taxpayer....I feel you earned the price of that room for giving us the priviledge of your husband serving for our country. nice to see our $$ going soemwhere good. I am glad you had the time together and pray he comes home to you soon!
