getting new wood floor put in and dont want it ruined.Shes an indoor car and litter box is cleaned everyday.I have never caught her doing it,sprayed to get odor out but is there something to use to keep her from doing that. 1|1|Good luck, if anyone knows what works then a friend of mine would be glad to know too!|bluh2oeyes|bluh2oeyes@yahoo.com|08:50:54|09/07/2009|

If this is a new activity then the cat can be sick. That would be the first thing to check. Since if they are sick with a blatter infection, etc. pee on things to "let you know".

If it's not a new activity then good luck, if anyone finds what works PLMK!

A friend with 5 cats, has one male cat that pees on almost everything in their garage and barn and nothing she has tried has worked. She thought he was sick and had him checked and he's perfectly fine. She even read that putting tin foil on the areas and the ground around where he did it would stop him....nope he just pees on the foil now (and her barn and garage look like she's waiting on some alien attack or trying to scare one off with all the foil on stuff!). She tried sprays, fresh litter (he avoids the box)and they didn't work either. Short of turning him out or putting him down she is near the end of her rope.

She powerwashes the garage and barn about every 6 weeks with "odor-out" spray and "no-pee" spray but it doesn't stop his nasty habit!

Would love to know what others have found that works to tell her because it gets worse every day.

THANKS!

Years ago a vet told me the best thing to use for cat urine is Massengill powdered douche. May be hard to find now with all the new already mixed stuff. I did hear someone on the radio (yep, really) just this week that his wife used the bottled stuff. So it may be good too.
