I did not leave the hospital without a second opinion. We actually saw two seperate teams of surgeons. Each team consisting of 7 doctors. And had 2 diffrent radiologist look over her catscan and ex-rays and everyone came to the same conclusion.

i know of too many mishaps that didn't have good endings
water guns are the biggest guns around here
and my dad had to hide his guns cuz i threw a fit after i had kids

I pray your daughter recovers from this. I'm sure that you're son feels guilty for doing this. Have you talked to your daughter to find out exactly what lead up to it.
On having guns in the house. While I don't like guns either we do have them in the house. My husband has them up very high so the kids can't get to them and are in a location that they rarely go to. However, with that, accidents do happen and I think the best way to avoid many accidents if you have to have them in the house is gun safety.
My son has several BB guns and has been taught to not point them at people or over the fence when in our backyard. He does has some friends that come over occasionally and it's obvious they have not been taught well.
We even had the police come over a few weeks ago asking my son about shooting his BB gun in the alley one morning. It wasn't my son because we had just gotten out of bed about 15 minutes prior to that. The lady that called the police came over and told the officer he had the wrong address - it was my sons friends who lived one street over but the same house number. 8|2|Guns aren't to blame.. people are.
