Here's the proof that my little Nutsie talks to me & tells me when she wants her special dish of food. LOL I was sitting by my kitchen table yesterday eating my lunch so she was talking to me thru the window. ;)

Notice her nose is up in the air?? LOLOL After I told her I'd be out shortly, she meandered over to the other side to wait (link below). ;)

The rope is my dog's leash but the little stinker has tried to take off w/it a time or 2. Fortunately, it's tied to the deck post so she didn't get too far w/it. LOL

Here's 2 of the other little visitors I had yesterday right after lunch:

The neighbors caught their mother in a live trap shortly after the whole family had visited my front yard a couple wks. ago. She'd been raiding their garden. We thought all 4 of her cubs had then scattered & taken off to parts unknown but these 2 evidently decided to stick around. Sunday must be their day out. LOL
The neighbor said the mother was acting kind of weird & IF she was infected w/rabies before her cubs were born, we realize they could very likely have it too. :( They're going to keep the trap out now & will hopefully be able to catch all the little ones, or at least the ones that are obviously still hanging around. Once they've trapped them, they take them to a DNR game warden where they're checked for rabies, etc. & if they check out ok, they're tagged & then released back into the wild farther out in the country. If they're found to be rabid, they have to be euthanized. :( But the main thing is, something IS being done so they're not running willy-nilly this close to a residential setting.

thankfully our creatures that come thru are a little bit bigger cause if your coons were in my yard-dixie would catch em!! she allows NOTHING to exist in our yard....it is unacceptable to her(and annoying as all heck when she wakes you up barking at em)...Jodie 4|4|what is that creature?|angNC|memawang@embarqmail.com|19:06:30|08/10/2009|

Scared the beejeebies out of me when I opened the door & there she was, like she was getting ready to knock. LOL But I wouldn't doubt one bit she'd come in if I left the door open, if if my little dog wasn't keeping watch. LOL

Wally & Filburt (the newbie) are a little more skittish yet but they'll likely become more tame too as time goes on, & they realize I'm the one w/the goodies. LOL
I'm sure there can get to be white squirrels in other areas/states; I'm just not sure where. I believe there's one state where they're actually more abundant but I can't remember which state. I'm thinking maybe North or South Carolina....

I'm expecting to see some deer again as fall & hunting season approaches. There's a farm & plenty of fields/woods across from my backyard so a haven for deer. I got a pic of one last year right up by the fence but I think my son deleted it off the camera to free up space. Hopefully he just transferred it to his computer so it isn't completely gone. Now that I know how to transfer pics to my computer & upload them, I like to share. :)
I love taking pics of little kids & animals cuz they so spontaneous you never know what they're gonna do. LOL I don't have alot of flowers here yet but hopefully more next year as I'll be planting some bulbs before long. Since my little dog is allergic to bees, I have to limit them to the side or back of the house & away from the front where she accesses. Mother hen & chicks is about all I have around the front now. But I love lilacs (have a couple shoots I'll be transplanting), hollihocks, crocuses, hyacinths, daffodils, & tulips. The more bright, colorful & aromatic the better! LOL
