Firstly, I bought a 2G flash drive, where do I plug it in on my desk top computer and how do I download everything off of it and then download onto a laptop?

Secondly, how do I hook up a laptop to my current internet provider and ALSO keep the desk top hooked up to same provider/line?

Thanks in advance for any help.

As far as the flashdrive--
plug it into one of the usb ports on the front of your desktop computer tower...find the files/documents, etc you want to save to it, when you find them, right click on the file/document name, then choose save to or save as....a popup box will come up, then make sure the name of the item is how you want it, then select from the destination list (in another dropdown menu in that save to/save as box) and choose the drive letter for your usb port (Mine are I: and J:, but yours may vary). Then hit Save. Repeat these steps for each file/document, etc that you want to save to it.

Then take the flashdrive, plug it into the usb port on your laptop, open up your documents, choose the drive letter for the usb port on your laptop, then open up the contents of the flashdrive in a list. You can then do a right click on the files and do a save to/save as, and save them to your documents on your harddrive or to your desktop on the laptop computer.

Sounds way more complicated than it really is, lol.

As for the internet to your laptop, do you have WiFi on it? You will want a secure connection to your internet, not to pick up random signals. You do this with a router, which is attached to your main/desktop computer, and then you
access the signal with your laptop. To secure the signal, follow the directions in the router program.
