A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.

The girl was moving out of town so they wouldn't be able to see each other at school anymore. Of course it was just a puppy love type crush but he was devastated just the same. I let him talk out his feelings & then told him that you never know as her family might even move back here again & that after a good night's sleep, things don't always seem so bad the next morning. As I figured, things were better the next day & by the end of that school year, sure enough, the family moved back. He was long over her by then which I must say I was relieved. LOL
He's had a steady gf now for almost a year - really nice girl & very nice parents to boot (mom is a youth minister & dad is a DEA agent) - & I am so happy for him. I've noticed tho that he's matured alot in that dept. since a few yrs. ago so altho he really, really likes this girl, he isn't all-consumed w/her so also makes sure to spend time w/his friends & he & his gf have activities they do w/out each other & w/other people, & they're both ok w/it. I think it's much healthier for both of them. :)

distance helps. if they have to be around each other like school or work etc it will be harder.she will i was going to say probably but definiatly think about him all the time for who knows how long. being young is good because there will be other cute boys to crush on. i think a parent can't really do to much to help accept to listen, but the girl has to kind of get through this herself. she'll be fine but it may take awhile.take care
