If you make a POST for coupons that you need & someone sends you an email stating they have what you need, how many they have and what they want for them.

Is that not considered an OFFER???

If so how much time should you give that person to reply????

Got the first email then 2 hrs later I got the second email that they were traded.

During this time I wasn't on the computer - I had to run some errands. It hadn't even been 12 hrs.

I feel that you should give someone at least a 24hrs to reply back. I would of reply back to them with in 12 hours but was never given the chance.

Is that RUDE or what????

PLMK
Thanks
Teresa

1|1|Yes Teresa, it was an offer and should've given you at least 24 hours to respond (nt)|Sharon|s_forshee@hotmail.com|19:32:56|07/30/2009|

There was no offer. Just mentioned that I had some available for a certain price.

There was no negotiation or confirmation.

Hot things go fast. 24 hours to wait for someone to think about things is ridiculous.
There are many traders who are ready, willing and able to trade immediately.

4|2|And other traders who are not on the board 24 hrs a day and being a lil patient is a good thing|teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|20:03:59|07/30/2009|

There was no time delay. We are talking seconds. So, after waiting for a few hours, I gathered she wasn't interested.

After reading your reply, am I am hearing that one should not mention that one has something available unless one wants to wait 24 hours for a person to reply and tell you that they don't want what you have?

Is that what you are saying?

5|2|Vicki PLEASE Read----All I was doing was asking others for ADVICE and there is nothing wrong with that. I am not on the boards as much as I use to be|cashcoll|cashcoll@yahoo.com|20:07:15|07/30/2009|

so I wanted some feedback.

You did email me and told me what you had and what you wanted so to me (JMO) that is an offer.

I am NOT trying to get anything STARTED ON THE BOARDS OR WITH YOU!! I honestly just wanted some feedback from others, as I thought it was not good trading
etiquettes.

Thanks
Teresa

7|3|Teresa, you should not have brought this to this board.|Arizona|vbj48@cox.net|21:57:18|07/30/2009|

This had nothing to do with this board. You are not a newbie to trading. You did not need advice, feedback or sympathy from the people here. Some things are better worked out between people.

Do not bash me anymore. We may have had a difference of opinion about this but you should not have called me rude and lacking trading etiquette. You have a right to your opinion and so do I but there is no need for name calling.

I will send you the coupons. Let me know how many you want. In fact, I will send them as a RAOK. I hope this makes you feel good and at peace now and puts this issue to rest.

Send me your mailing address.

8|1|I do have to agree with AZ that posting this is not going to change anything. Normally you ask for "advice" to maybe change YOUR behavior or POV. So unless the OP is going to|suezz|clearys@comcast.net|06:55:48|07/31/2009|

do things differently, the whole post was only a complaint about somebody else who did not follow the "rules" the OP uses. AZ had good coupons but she traded them to someone else because she wanted the trade done quickly. Even I agree that 24 hours is WAY too long to turn around a trade especially if there are others looking to trade. If you can't get on a computer any sooner then 24 hours later, then yea,. you are ging to lose out on trades...etiquette or not

After considerable thought on this matter and re-reading the initial post, I offer my opinion - you can take it or leave it.

I don't think the initial email stating what was available was an offer. If she didn't list total postage and payment methods. It sounds like she was letting you know that if you wanted the coupons she had them available but it sounded like an informational email.

There's no right or wrong on how long to wait to respond. It's up to the seller what they do and how they do it. Yes, we all have busy lives and not everyone is available 24/7 to answer emails.

Hey, one time I was only given an hour or so, less than two to answer about some coupons (and didn't even know there was a deadline of that quick for the offer). Of course, I didn't get them because I wasn't on-line during the time. Yes, I was a little ticked but, oh well, things happen and I moved on.

Why all of a sudden are we all asking about trading practices/etiquette and asking people advice on how they would've handled things or how to handle things and if we don't get the answers we want to hear then it's not all right!

There are no set "trading rules". If you don't like her "trading rules" then don't trade with her and move on. Plain and simple! There's definitely plenty of other people to trade with.

There are many people who come on here and ASK for advice. That's all I was doing and I didn't mention the person's name out of respect to the trader.

The trader is the one that posted on here so that everyone would know who I was talking about. She does things her way - and - I do things my way!

I apprecaite the advice and comments of others.

"THE END"

Teresa
