I believe Nutsie had little ones awhile back so she's just now getting in a new "coat". Mother squirrels pull off some of their fur to soften their nests before having little ones. Once her fur has grown back more, I think she'll probably be just as pretty again as Wally. ;) I had to laugh cuz both of them looked pretty scruffy yesterday so I think they must've been out in the rain & scrappin' in the mud or something. LOL They'd obviously cleaned themselves up during the night tho cuz they were pretty white again this morning. Silly animals.....

I think Nutsie is albino cuz she has that pinkish tinge but Wally just happens to be white.
I just noticed this morning that there's another white squirrel so that makes 3. :)
Nutsie was chasing what I thought was Wally out of the yard, but come to find out, Wally was minding his own biz over by my son's car. So... the other white one Nutsie chased must've been a newbie. ;)
Hopefully I can soon get a pic of all 3 of them in 1 snap. LOL

I googled it and apparently they are usually just a variant of the "regular" type squirrel. Apparently, you will sometimes find patches of these white squirrels in an area.
I asked about NC because I came across a Brevard White Squirrel Fair in Brevard, NC where there are a lot of these white squirrels.
