and if I know a movie is coming out that I really want to see I put that at the top of my list and I get it the day or the next day after it releases. I would recommend them over Blockbuster. I had Blockbuster when they first came out up until March of this year. They did get better but they still had some tv shows and movies that I had in my list for months still showing as long wait.
I would recommend Netflix and if you have an xbox 360 then you can watch some movies (not new releases) and some tv shows instantly through the xbox. Do you have a Papa John's nearby? Their offer is better than MyPoints when you compare point value for a Papa John's gc vs. $10 gift card to Papa John that you get from signing up on their site.

(it rotates through on the bottom, just be first time subscriber. I do think it is kind of a sad commentary when a pizza joint has started referring people... makes me wonder what's in it for them. Anyhoo...) Just be sure to shop for the best "deal" for signing up. If MyPoints is offering more than just 1,000 points, then it may be a better deal. The last time I checked, Papa John's had a better value. Of course, that doesn't work out so well for you if you don't have a PJ's nearby...
But do you have BluRay? BluRay selection at Netflix is better. Sometimes it is a wait. Also, they charge more for it. We cut our 3 at a time back to just 2 at a time so we could keep getting Netflix, but not eat the higher fees for BluRay.
You can stream from Netflix, but usually it isn't that great.
Blockbuster allows you to return to a store, something to consider if you have one nearby.
Netflix movies come to me in 2 days max. If I mail Monday, they get it Tuesday, it goes out Tuesday and I get it Wednesday. This is 99% of the time. Sometimes it is an extra day.
