Ok..so I have $1.00/1 cpn for Ritz Crackerfuls. They looked good in the TV ads (well..that is the POINT, isn't it? lol)..so I see them at my local store. They were $2.99 a box. Normally would pass that up..too expensive..but am going to save a bunch with coupons/doubles so thought I would 'splurge' and buy a box and use that $1/1 coupon and try them. Hadn't seen them on sale anywhere else lately either, so bought a box of the Four Cheese type.

Now from the commercials and just looking at the box (didn't look at the weight etc..just front pic..silly me!) decided on the Four Cheese variety. Couple of days later, decide Hmmm..gonna try some of those crackers now. I was FLOORED!! NOT a box of loose crackers (like Ritz bits) or even a 'sleeve' of crackers (like regular Ritz). There are 6..yes SIX.. individually wrapped packages of crackers in this huge box. Each is one BIG cracker with cheese in the middle and is 2"W x 4 1/2"L x 1/2" thick. (yep..I tape measured them!). OH COME ON!! Talk about a BAD way to pkg a product AND charge outrageously for it too! Without the coupon they would be approx $.50 each and even with a coupon makes them around $.33 each!

NO WAY is this product intended for the 'average' family obviously. What WERE they thinking packaging the product this way? Obviously this is intended just for a adult 'snack', single person, elderly or for portion control possibly ..definately not family oriented. Can you imagine...teen would have the entire box scarfed down in just a few seconds! LOL!

I am DEFINATELY going to write the company about this product and let them know my views on it. They need to make them like Ritz Bits..lots of smaller crackers in a box and price it reasonably. I really did like the Four Cheese crackers but again, not buying it again unless it's a HUGE markdown in price and with coupons to go with. What were they thinking??! Am sure this is a product that will not be around long on the market in it's current package/price state... 1|1|They are $4.29 here! I almost bought them today...glad I didn't!|bluh2oeyes|bluh2oeyes@yahoo.com|15:13:41|07/22/2009|

I could tell they looked like "nabs" crackers but didn't know there were only 6 in that big box.

What a rip off. Glad I paseed on getting these...it's super doulbe coupons here this week so they would have been $2.29 for me w/coupon.
