I know that most people in this section of RS are fairly close. I have a question and am not wanting to start anything, I just want a straight forward answer. First let me say that I love this board and I love coming here and getting my coupons.

However, I just noticed that tons of people are looking for huggies wipes or diapers $3/2 coupons. I see that several people are asking .50 for them (which I think is extremely high). I don't use wipes or diapers. My baby is 18 so I am not sure why someone would charge so much for them? I did notice that not ALL people are charging that much, just several of them. Are the diapers/wipes cheap or free with these coupons?

So this got me to thinking, it always seems that supply and demand does drive coupon prices up. For example, the uni-lever booklets, powerade coupons, wine tags, etc. etc.. Do you think of this as price gouging? I always end up giving hot coupons away to my friends when I find them.

Do you think it is fair? Is it "just a business thing" to you or does it make you seethe inside. Just curious so please don't verbally beat me up for asking.

1|1|Hmmmm, well, I trade coupons for hfs to afford things for my kids. It is my "spending money"....so when things are hot and people are OFFERING to pay .20 a coupon....I don't have a problem with asking that much (though I tend to see what people are asking and ask a little less...something is going for .25 and I will ask .20. I really see it as a supply/demand thing. I also trade IN for coupons...and if something is more than I can afford....I skip it. I have been disappointed having to do so...but figure they have the right to ask what they want and I have the right to hope someone else has a better price or that they will come down. |Barb09|Barb0969@AOL.com|06:48:09|07/22/2009|
