I am selling my wedding dress on craigslist. Anyway I had someone email me about it wanting me to give them my name and address so they could mail me a check or money order saying they would add an extra $20 for me having to wait for it to come in the mail and that they already have arrangements for pick up. Is it just me or is this sending up a big red flag. I dont know but it just sounds fishy. I dont feel comfortable giving anyone on craigslist my name and address. I think im just going to email them back and tell them i prefer cash on pick up what do you think?

it was an hour and a half drive from where i live.. and id on't drive.. but like i said.. if they want it bad enough they will find a way to get it..
they could use the extra $20 for cab fair to your house LOL

I dont particularly want some random stranger knowing where i live if you know what i mean. Heck for all i know it could be a mass murderer, lol. Seriously though this is the first time i have sold on craigslist and i just thought this is how it should work. I just dont feel comfortable giving out my address or letting them know where i live

They are probably gathering email addresses to send spam to. I replied over the weekend to someone w/ a FREE item post. When he replied, they were gone and then I started getting a bunch of spam messages. Visited the site the next town over and his exact same post was there too so I am positive that is what has happened. I did that recently with some FREE ALLI too and started getting pharmacy spam but I could not pinpoint that was where it came from at that time but I think now too it was that email.
