This is why I love this site/forum & the people who patronize it. I've been feeling so un-ambitious & disgusted lately & can't figure out why. LOL I'm not tired or depressed; just not feeling like doing much of anything altho there's SO much I want/need to do. Then I read the posts on the boards & am relieved to know it's not just me dealing w/crappola. Different people & maybe the same or different situations/circumstances, & I know it's likely not much help to anyone, but I hope it's a little bit of a relief for others to know that no, we're not alone & no, there's nothing wrong w/YOU. It's just THINGS we're all having to deal with & it's good to know that even if it's just to lend or bend an ear, it does help to know we're all here for each other. :)
Here's hoping things get better, for everyone. :)
Maybe we need to start a club called the Ear Lender Benders or something. LOL

Geez.. I have been this way all summer. Projects and plans out the ying-yang...but no follow thru.
I think in my case a lot of it has to do with the fact that there is so much uncertainty in my life. Are we putting the house on the market? Are we moving? Will I find a teaching job? If not, what other kind of job do I want? "Will I find something that I like, make enough $ at? Will I sub again next year?
Just too much uncertainty. It is nice to know others are dealing with similar things.
Well, thanks for letting me bend some ears. Now off to the PO to mail some more resumes...wish me luck!!!

I know when my grandma had dementia, she was like that. Some days, I could repeat things a million times and it didn't bother me; other days it would drive me over the edge!!
My mom doesn't seem to have that too much with her Parkinson's....or does your mom have some dementia too? It's my dad who tells me the same stories over and over again, and he doesn't have any excuse like dementia or Alzheimers!
Life is so hard sometimes, makes you want to be a kid again. I can't even remember what it was like to be carefree like that, even for a moment or two. Hang in there girl -- I know I have't emailed you in ages, but if you ever want to talk, just vent away!

I'm 53, now post-menopausal not having periods for 2 years now and noticed this past year with my memory, saying things before I think not coming out right or saying words that doesn't make sense if you know what I mean-LOL!! Anyway, decided to go for natural HRT which is a cream, and it's helping me tremendously already being on it for a month. You get tested for urine, saliva - not cheap but the dr. measures your hormones and my hormones were very, very low. So, with the testing, he knows what to adjust - how much estrogen, testosterone, estradiol, etc., which brings back your hormones back to the level when you were younger. This is natural way to go, not the synthetic Premarin made with horse's urine which increases cancer risks, other problems, etc. Everyone's hormones drop as they age and this is the way to go, but like I said it's not cheap!! Also, to keep your hormone levels from dropping as you get older, you have to use this cream for the rest of your life!! I went to a dr. that specializes in anti-aging, not regular dr,. as they will just give you the Premarin. Just thought you might want to know!! Sharon:)

My Mom is in last stages of Alzheimer's. She's now 81 and doesn't know me anymore. I really believe it's mainly how you take care of yourself, your diet, exercise, socialization, etc. My Mom was always anti-social, had bad diet, never exercised, took pharma drugs and flu shots yearly, besides other environmental toxins we deal with daily which I believe contributes to her having high risk of Alzheimer's. I really do believe you can prevent this dreadful disease. Without going into detail we were supposed to go to court this morning. As of Monday our lawyer checked everything was on and going fine. We got there and had to be there at nine then found out court wasn't until ten. Finally at ten our attorney called to find out within the past forty-eight hours court was cancelled and no one notified our attorney or us. So Matt lost half a day of work for absolutely nothing.
