Does anyone know the number of hours needed to have worked in WI to collect unemployment from an employer? Long story made short.....I was fired last week from my part time job for not getting enough people to sign up for their credit cards. I knew when I took the job that "asking" people to sign up credit cards was a requirement of the cashier position. I did not know until I was on the floor for two weeks that the requirement was for every $100.00 cashed out the cashier was supposed to have "1" person signed up for a credit card.

Thanks for reading!

So my advice is to go to the UC site in Wisconsin and attempt to file a claim. From reading around, I've seen people who tried to fill out the application get stopped and told to call in.

Usually you have to work for a while to build up enough credits to collect. Is this part-time job on top of a full-time one? That could affect benefits. The WI unemployment site isn't very informative. If you file, file as soon as you are able. If you delay, you lose money as there's always a waiting week.

Also: Mysearchbonus.com - earn points for searching, redeem for gift cards. Lots to choose from! I just learned about a new search engine where you get 1 point per search (natural searching....) and once you hit 1,000 points, you can cash out for a $10 gift card. Just another great money making opportunity for searching the internet!

Was hired 3/2/09 to cashier at a local department store in the mall. Was fired on 6/30/09. I think it completely falls on the first employer.
