You can still find them in commercial areas, but the corner neighborhood mailboxes have been gone for years in my area of the county.
Debbie 2|2|Sorry to hear this I can not drive and the limits placed on me are a real pain in the arse so if even one thing I still can do was taken away I would|teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|07:37:10|07/08/2009|
be quiet upset Where do you get your mail from? Can You mail it from home? 3|3|I just put mine in my home mailbox and mailperson picks it up|juner|juneritter@hotmail.com|08:38:29|07/08/2009|
ty 6|2|It's the USPS probably ...|BUCKINCRAZEE|Redhat105@Hotmail.com|12:35:55|07/08/2009|
The USPS is eliminating mailboxes everywhere because they are experiencing lesser mail volume than they've
had in the past. Computer [e-mails, e-cards, e-vites, etc.] has likely contributed to this volume shortage, no doubt.
So, the rule for our city was: if the mailbox receives less than 25 pieces of mail a day, the Post office saw it
necessary to remove it from their pickup route. The rules in your city might be different, so check with the P.O. in your area.
A fewer less of "these" around means less stops for the P.O., and as a result helps get the mail to us more efficiently.

4|1|did you find out who took it???|petunia1|sweetpea39@comcast.net|09:38:24|07/08/2009|
maybe it wasnt the PO, I would call and find out. could be kids playing a joke (although not so funny to a refunder). wehad that problem for awhile. they were smashing them in and then started to actually take them. 5|2|I figured you meant your email mailbox|Beaglesfly|lmllr77@aol.com|09:51:45|07/08/2009|
tells you where my head is
lauren 7|1|The PO has been paring these blue boxes down I think.....they took our neighborhood box on the corner years ago....but they recently took some of the blue mailboxes out of downtown on the street right by the PO! It's a pain to park and go in, limited parking....but there is still a couple there, for now.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|16:09:54|07/08/2009|
