2|2|My tomatoes have grown some, I think about 16-18 inches tall also, but not very leafy....I do have several blooms on them though. The lettuce I have in the window box containers is going nuts though! I have to thin it and cut some back this week. Harvested a couple times already.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|18:28:54|06/24/2009|

we have a big garden and put up an electric fence around it and well today i walked out to look at it and something has gotten into our green beans and have eaten alot of the plants so we shall see how it turns out.

my squash plants are blooming but the blooms are dying and falling off...

we have picked onions and greens out of the garden so far

we shall see what happens.

you know if you have your lettuce in a window box you can move it inside and grow your lettuce in the winter time..just a little pointer in case your interested in doing something like that..or go to the store and buy some more packs of the lettuce seeds and later this fall or winter plant it and you will have your own lettuce again.

hope everyone else is having more luck with there garden then i am

forgot my tomatoes are about 16" high also

4|2|I swear J I have not eaten Kthy's greenbeans lol lol Tho I wish ares would grow faster lol|teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|19:14:36|06/24/2009|

5|2|Kathy, that's a pretty good idea for me to do some lettuce inside this winter! I might have to give it a try...I'll have to figure out a way to make a drainage tray of some kind big enough for the window box containers first....maybe those inexpensive shoe trays to put by the front door will fit. :) I hope whatever is eating up your goods takes a hike soon! basil, lavendar, cilantro, my radishes and a sweet pepper plant! my pepper and the tomatoes have blooms. I planted the radishes in the long rectangular window box that I have had for a long time. I wanted to throw it out last year but DH had me hang onto it. I am glad I did as I can't locate them either in Lowe's or wal-Mart. I am out of windows : ( Great idea for window box lettuce!

I really enjoyed it over there.. I hope I subscribed to your blog ok.. I'm not very computer literate even after all these years :( I wish I had more time to check thru all your crafts too. I emailed you though.

As always, I start the garden year off all gung ho and then peter out when it starts to get too hot.. actually, I should be out there right now re-planting seed for the summer garden, collecting my Gopher Purge seeds and picking zuccini while its still cool out. And as always, i'm overwhelmed with SO much to do out there, I don't do anything but sit here stumped as to WHAT to do first.. Next thing I know, the days over!

I'm TRYING to get a lawn planted and to get going on a wild flower meadow... oh geez...

your plants are doing great, is this the first time you have grown tomatoes indoors. I will be interested to hear how they produce. I should be having grape tomatoes to pick this week, have tomatoes on my other plants as well but they will be a few weeks still. I didn't get my garden planted until Memorial Day, but with all this heat and rain we have been having, it really took off fast. If I have time I will post some pictures.

stand 21 inches tall as of today, I will have to self pollinate them so tomatoes will grow, as it is the bee's that pollinate them outdoors..
