Hi, everyone!! I need to vent BEFORE I scream here!! In the last week, I have found two puppies that someone abandoned at a vacant house. I found the first one on Tuesday and rescued her. A good friend of mine took her in so I know that she has a good home now. Today I saw yet another puppy at the same house where I found the first one. He is now here with me until I decide what to do with him. We already have 6 doggies BUT I get the feeling that this lil' guy will end up staying as well. I know all too well that times are hard on everyone right now BUT I cannot understand just dumping innocent animals out in the middle of nowhere like that. It is in the 90's here in NC today so the animals most definitely need water and such. GRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

My Zoe who is now 14 was abandoned by the side of a road when she was just a few months old. Someone was nice enough to take her to the vet's office, where we saw her and then took her in. We lived in a small town at the time and there were 3 more times when litters of pupppies were abandoned and they all looked like our Zoe. Makes me so mad that people can't at least drop the poor things off at a shelter or vet's office......there is no reason they should leave them somewhere where they have no hope of survival.or better yet they should use common sense and get the mama spayed.

They were left outside of the house. I travel through the area a lot each week so I know that it is vacant and that they were not there earlier in the week. I did see some old moldy dog food and dirty looking water sitting out for them BUT no other signs that anyone was taking care of them. We brought the lil' boy pup home today & gave him a bath. His fur was all matted and caked in dirt & filth. Sighs!! I am still not sure if we are going to keep him or not BUT I am taking him to my vet next week to make sure that everything is okay with him.

Just last month I picked up a stray sitting in the middle of the road. She along with the pup I adopted from the shelter the month before now have the best home ever!
I understand there are people who don't like, care or want a pet. That's fine...they shouldn't even try it. But I don't know how people can just leave an animal to fend for it's self. It's cruel. There are people and places that will make a safe place for these pets. It's a shame some people never grow up.
