Hey everyone! I'm needing to supplement our current income with a little extra money- does anyone have any opinions on selling Avon? How complicated is it? Do I need any startup money? Are doing taxes at tax time an issue? Is there anything else I could do for a couple hours a week online that would make me a little extra money?

Thanks!
Jessica

With avon its less of a start up cost. When I did it alot of people near me sold it so I didn't do too well I ended up buying alot of it for myself With tupperware the start up cost is higher after expenses and all I end up on average making a couple hundred a month. I don't have alot of time to devote to it. It is time consuming if you have the time with alot of there selling companies you can make money I know people who do it full time and make out pretty well

for every campaign. Your commission is 36%. As far as taxes at year end, hasn't been a problem for me. Think it is where if you earn under $600/year you don't claim. If you are over they send you a 1099.

I also sell easy to prepare foods by Tastefully Simple. This is a start up of $170 & that includes more than enough products to get started. You do have to sell or purchase $400 every 3 months to stay "active" to sell. Your commission is 36%. Again taxes haven't been a problem for me at year end.

With both of these you do need to build a client base & get the word out that you are selling such products. They both also have direct home delivery which helps out alot.

Hope this helps.

I'd like something easy (of course) LOL, that I can do at home and get around $25- $50week for a couple hours work? I already work 40 hrs a week so I don't want something that's going to take too much time away from the family. We live about 30 minutes from normal civilization, LOL, otherise I would gladly take on a waitressing job or something.

Thanks!

I used to do it alot and would try to schedule a couple of shops in a day that were near each other. It would bring in about $50 for a days work. I would try to work it out where I had errands in a particualr area and do them at the same time
Now I only do hotel shops and get reimbursed for my stay.
