Some people (and their kids) were stealing the stuff from the stores and then selling it at flea markets and on Craigslist.

Some people do use alot of coupons and then use the CVS etc Rewards to keep buying stuff that they get for free. No problem with that.

yes, it CAN be done. really all it takes is time, common sense, and a BIG coupon binder. lol

as for the items they had that you hadn't seen on sale within the past few weeks, they may have gotten them a long time ago. i was given over 100 bottles of pert plus in december by a fellow trader and it took me 3 months to get rid of it all. also, items with epiration dates....... i sell the quickest to expire first, i rotate my stockpile sale items the same way i do my own personal stockpile so that nothing is out of date when i put it up for sale or trade.

i have also heard a lot about people stealing items and reselling them, but unless you know for a fact that is what's going on........... i think it'd be safer to bet they are either selling their own personal stockpile items, items they got for free or nearly free and saved for a sale, or items they may have been given. and as we all know, there's nothing wrong with that! :)

Couple years ago, CVS had that run of unlimited transactions for some items you could get free with ECBs. And you could roll the ECBs over and use them to get more free items and on and on. I'd go in every few days and ended up with tons of pantiliners, shampoos, toothpastes, etc (and I was only limited by space and cash on hand...I could have gotten lots more along the way). I remember there were people boasting on another site about their CVS purchases...they'd run tallies and post them, and some people would have $10K in purchases...LOL.

I don't know if any stores have as good a deal as those CVS ECBs, but I'm sure there's some deals still out there.

It takes a lot of time to do this -- scour the boards for multiples, match coupons, go searching for clearance items. The one year that I did this (and it was on a very, very small scale), I easily sold many shampoos, dawn detergent, pantiliners, deoderants, etc. in just ONE day at our yardsale on a little country road. And I had people asking me if I'd have more for them to come back and get!

lauren 7|1|While I do not resell my stockpiles, I do get extra's to help out friends. Recently I got 30 free deodarants, from Shoprite. Had to make several trips to do it. But worth it, in the long run.|dlpavitt|dlpavitt@att.net|19:58:35|06/15/2009|
