my day started out so great, but got a call from my mom this afternoon. She wanted me to meet her at a Chicago hospital to pick up her girls, (8 and 9). My stepdad found out he has leukemia, and they wanted him to come to the hosp right away. Please pray for them, my stepdad is older, but these kids still need him, they have already lost so much. My mom and stepdad have been raising them for the last 7 years, and are the only stability they have. God is good and I believe He will work all things together for His good and I just have to keep believing that.

I don't know when they will be back home. Since I have the girls, my mom is just staying at the hosp. with him, at least for now. They have him scheduled for things at least through next Wed.

they are working on making sure he is strong enough before starting any meds. Giving him blood tonight. If I understand right they are thinking of giving him an oral medicine, that is not as hard on older patients. He is at a research hosp, so he is getting lots of attention that is for sure.
