I was out in the yard with my grandsons today and we spotted
a baby Robin learning to fly.
I ran in to grab my camera and the baby Robin was gone, but
I looked and saw the Baby Common Grackle in the fence.
I startled clicking and searching the various nests in our yard.

Baby Common Grackle
This little guy was the last to leave the nest in our neighbor's tree along our fence
and he was learning to fly today. Very cool to watch.

Baby Mourning Dove with Momma in the background
We once removed a plastic webbing from a Mourning Dove's leg on
our deck a few years back and applied antibiotic cream to its leg.
We like to think that bird's relatives are the babies under our deck.
Notice my DH built a little shingled roof under our deck
for the birds that nest here yearly.

Barn Swallow nest on our pontoon boat

Baby Barn Swallow eggs. I couldn't see into the nest,
so I put the camera up there and clicked.
I am counting 5 eggs. I couldn't get the picture to rotate
the right way.

When I was done taking pictures, I spotted a
Great Blue Heron on my neighbor's dock.

I'm quite fond of Heron's .. when I lived in TN there was a pond out back,
they would get in it, I would sit at my kitchen table drinking coffee and
look out the sliding glass door, what a nice view that was, so tranquil..

I was going to snap a photo of my baby wrens in my bird house on my deck this morning but later today when I checked I think they "flew the coop" after breakfast. I'll know tomorrow morning if they are sticking their head out looking for food if they are there or gone. I'll be ready tomorrow if they are still there for photos.

Mommy cardinal is still cooking her eggs in my tree outside my front window. I can't quite see if there are any eggs or not when she flys off (there are leaves blocking that view) but I know there are no babies hatched yet either.
