In light of how Paypal is going to rip us all off in a few days, I am needing input from all you that have RME (Revolutionary Money Exchange) accounts and use them. Pros? Cons?

Any other options out there instead of paypal or in addition to RME?? Please do keep this bumped as days are flying by till we all will be hosed by Paypal..again. *sigh* Thanks for any help and info!! Kathy 1|1|I'd be interested in opinions too! I figure if RME is decent, I can use that for trades and keep my PP acct for online store purchases only. |saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|08:11:00|05/25/2009|

If it's legit/secure, easy to use & offers free money exchanges, like in the better days of PayPal, it's definitely something I would consider using. If PP is getting SO greedy that my business w/them is no longer going to be appreciated, then maybe they no longer need my business. ;)

3|1|Found an online article ( a year old) on RME, compares it to Paypal in simple terms...sounds like RME would be perfect for trade transactions :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|08:55:10|05/25/2009|

The only concern I have so far is I dont see any info on filing a complaint should a trade not be recieved....does anyone have more info on that?

I'm a little taken aback by the author's spelling & grammar errors.
:( Certainly, noone's perfect but I think it would've been to his & the article's benefit to use his Spell Check feature. LOL

12|2|Yes, that is still the same.....RME does allow you to send funds to someone without an acct, they just send the reciever an email notification with info to sign up and collect the funds....but if a trader doesnt have RME, I dont see sending funds like that anyway....just like we do with PP now, if they dont have it, we send cc or stamps, etc...|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|09:48:31|05/25/2009|

I am currently considering signing up for RME. I have a couple of questions that I didnt find answers to on the site Help pages or FAQ pages.

1. If I use RME to send a payment for goods and I dont recieve those goods, is there a complaint procedure to recoup my funds? If so, how does that work?

2. Am I only able to send payments from available funds in my account? Or is there an instant access/transfer of funds from my linked bank account to the reciever? If so, is there a waiting period for the transaction? Or would I need to transfer funds from my bank account to my RME account first, then send payment to the reciever?

3. Is there any signup incentives/bonuses at this time? I know RME has offered $25 signup bonuses to new members in the past.

Thank you for your help, I am currently looking for an alternative online payment source other than PayPal given they are changing their user policies to include fees on ALL transactions other than sending cash to friends and family. I use PayPal now for purchases online and at times recieve funds for sales online as well.

Joy Merrill

They really didnt answer my questions very well...except for the signon/referral bonus question. So, still not sure if the only way to send funds is if there is money in the actual RME acct. Also, sounds like we'd be on our own if we didnt receive a trade that we paid with using RME funds. Hmmm, not sure if this is worth the hassle to sign up and use...It'd only use it to pay trusted traders with a long trade history with me.....and that would only work if they have an RME acct as well.

"Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy." 16|2|I tried to sign up with RME back when the incentives were available and couldn't. The problem was as a SAHM I apparently don't exist. (@@) No bills in my name etc....so told me I wasn't eligible at that time to sign up the easy way. I may have to try again and figure out if there is a way to do it. Any news about the limit of 30 payments? Are we limited how many we can receive?|Barb09|Barb0969@AOL.com|15:15:24|05/25/2009|

"Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy." 19|3|They do state right in their FAQ page that a social security number is required, as there is a limit of one acct per person....I do like the security of that, would cut down on the bad traders having several PP accts as their aliases change. |saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|16:25:38|05/25/2009|

I'm going to give RME a try. The only downfall is if the other person doesn't have it then it may not be an option. The more who sign up, the better.

I'll keep my paypal account but will try to limit using it as much as possible. Of course, sometimes the paypal fees may not be as much as mailing stamps or cc but I believe most times for me it will.

There is no "buyer protection" when you mail stamps, BTFE or Concealed Cash either. So I really don't see that being a drawback to RME.

But I guess each will have to decide which option works best for their situation.

20|2|J and Barb the limitations I was talking about is in th elast line of their limitaion section Am I reading it or taking it wrong? |teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|16:45:44|05/25/2009|
