I cried. From the moment I first saw him in formation until I got to hug him at last.

I think it was all pride and joy streaming down my face.

The commander said "when it comes to making a hard right, always choose a hard right over an easy wrong." I realized that my sons do just that and I could not be more proud. They stand guard so we may sleep at night. I got that today for the first time when I looked at my youngest, knowing that he had guard duty and had been up since 2 a.m. When I said that he looked tired ... he said "I do what I must do." At the age of 20, my son stands guard and I am humbled.

Just thought I would let everyone know that graduation was awesome, overwhelming, tearful, pride inducing ... I saw my son rise up for a standing ovation for me, just for being his mother. And then once again to thank my husband and son, both veterans for serving their country.

Both of my sons say that they have no claim to glory.

Like I said, I cried ... even now ... the tears are of pride and joy. 1|1|CONGRATULATIONS FROM ONE MILITARY MOM TO ANOTHER|Harleyrider|harleyriderz1@sbcglobal.net|19:00:43|05/21/2009|
