have been working 445 am to 130 pm the last 3 weeks, as well as trying to get ready for my annual yard sale. I managed to get it all in-the weather cooperated(except for the gnats!!) and i had definitely the best yard sale i have ever had...seriously....I can really tell that the economy has changed shopping habits....
the crazy thing is that i sold stuff that i have been hauling back and forth for a couple of years(dishes and some other quirky items)....for what i wanted all along. I also moved out some of the honest to goodness ugliest wall plaques(4 of them) to 2 different people.....they were part of a buyout i did from a local store....yes i get some odd things from odd places...
I took the gang out (niece, nephews hubby and a few friends) for dinner for helping me. Bill and i then went to AC last night using his comps for dinner at the Borgota Buffet, and then his comps for a room at Harrahs. As we were leaving the Borgota....i hit the jackpot unintenionally. I was walking to the left of a group of people, and i saw money falling to the ground. I stopped-picked it up and said um??????with it in my hand....the group of people looked at me like-what and kept on going-mind you i am standing there with money on my outstretched palm. There was a woman at the atm, and i waited til she was done, and asked her, and she said-no not mine.....by then it was just her and i....as the others took off as quick as they could away from me....I had found 100.00....Which we ended up using to cover parking, an upgraded room-hubbys comped room was not available, and a late night pizza and sodas.....
Bill won, i lost the 40.00 i took to play with-we had a great night....and now to enjoy my week of vacation!!!
