Despite the 'difficult economic' times. There are two things in my life that will remain constants. Whether I have coupons or not. Gasp did I just say that out loud... I LOVE Tide laundry detergent. The stuff has an addictive property or something lol. Actually I've found with five boys it's one of the few soaps I can just toss in with a load and not have to pretreat most of the laundry. On the whole it doesn't a phenominal job of getting it all clean. Every now and then I have to go back and rewash something but it's rare. Secondly, yes my laundry fetish again, Snuggle dryer sheets or liquid. Doens't matter which but I LOVE my snuggle. I used to never care then got it once when camping as I needed something in a pinch and it was on sale. Now I will never go back. So my question for all of you is despite how tight money might get are there things you'd never change. For my mom it's name brand peanut butter. She REFUSES to buy any store brands lol

I've been drinking it for many years. When I buy it at Peets store there's a free cup with my beans purchase, but I take that as a rain check so I can enjoy a coffee shop experiences for free at a later time. The coffee at the stores is much fresher than supermarket pre-pack but supermarket is still wonderful. When I visit relatives in Toronto they always ask me to 'please bring some of that coffee.' 3|1|Pepsi will never lose me as a customer|dragonmom|sueedelmann@yahoo.com|08:24:04|05/16/2009|

Every time the price goes up, I swear I will quit drinking it, but will never consider the store brand colas or any other brand.

also, Jif peanut butter is a must, my family won't touch any other brand.

Just about anything else I will try a cheaper brand, store brand, etc. Sometimes I go back because my family doesn't like it as much, but I will always try another brand in hopes of finding a good one.

"Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy." 6|2|I am the same as Joy...whichever is on sale and I have coupons for I will stock up on. however, I DO stock up on Downy and Tide when they are significantly cheaper on sale or with catalina deals. I have over 60 bottles of All...but when Tide was cheaper last week I still got 8 bottles as a treat. So, there is nothing I use exclusively and can't substitute...but I do enjoy the other ones enough to invest in some.|Barb09|Barb0969@AOL.com|11:07:22|05/16/2009|

Although I agree with Kristy about Tide; although I do have brands that I would like to buy for other products, I will likely substitute whatever else is a good price with sales/coupons/refunds.

We only get soda as a treat so I agree in not buying the store brand on that... we just don't buy any that week/month. I think the last 12 pack I bought lasted us a month.

I do enjoy trying new "off brands" or finding a store brand that my family will tolerate if it saves us money :) 12|2|Gammiesue, my store has the 32 oz jars of Hellmanns for .88 after coupons this week!|Barb09|Barb0969@AOL.com|16:07:48|05/16/2009|

and I personally like Peter Pan PB, but will buy and use Jif or Skippy if need be. I suppose if I was closer to a Walmart or something where I could try other brands occasionally I might even switch those as well.

My Mom was a real penny pincher..I remember she would even buy ScotLad margarine..it was like eating a stick of pure lard that had a bright yellow color to it. Bleck! LOL But it was cheap so we ate it. However one thing she never waivered on buying a name brand on was Smuckers Jams/Jellies.

Guess most of us have at least 'one' thing we prefer over another brand wise... 13|2|Oh my gosh, Kathy! I remember ScotLad brand stuff! It was the ''store brand" for our locally owned grocery store in the little town where I grew up! My Mom would always buy Kroger brand ice cream too in the 1/2 gal containers but it was like THE MOST generic stuff...tasted weird and sometimes 'grainy' too. We had a old refridge with a metal 'freezer' part in it and the ice cream was always 'smooshy' too. Could be why I rarely ate it with THAT combo going on! LOL 16|4|The margarine sticks are quite unforgettable, lolol.....I just vaguely remembered the name when I read your post, wow, good times, lolol|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|18:20:00|05/16/2009|

I never see too many c/o's for 7-Up 12 pks. but coupon or not, it's the only soda I drink 98% of the time. Sprite would be next in line & during summer months, I like A & W rootbeer or Mug rootbeer, maybe an occasional Cream Soda. Folger's is definitely the only kind of coffee I buy cuz I like the aroma, the flavor & also cuz it's so far the only brand that makes Half Caff. Coupons are usually only 25¢/1 but it's better than nothing. LOL
As for non-edible brands I'm loyal to (does that count? LOL), w/or w/out a rebate or special offer, it would be HP (Hewlett Packard) for printers, scanners &/or copy machines. Granted, the hardware & ink is usually a little pricier than other brands but I've found the quality & dependability is much better so is worth it. And the HP ink lasts a loooong time. :)
