This better not pass - God help us. Get informed about this as it effects all Americans.

3|1|There's a CAFO trying to move in here (m)|maraj|maraj64@hotmail.com|09:06:09|05/08/2009|

CAFO stands for Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations which is a "factory farm" consisting of hundreds/thousands of animal units. Some rich guy from IL named Petry owns several acres of land scattered around the county here & is trying to get a CAFO established in the area. The CAFO he's pushing for consists of approximately 3200 cows. This is not only detrimental to family farms but to the health & sanitation of the existing communities in which they occupy. All of the areas he's looking at as prospects are in close proximity to populated areas - church/cemetary, cities/towns & housing developments. :( It's upsetting ALOT of people.

is that people like us would not even be able to grow our own gardens in our backyard!! How sick is that?? This is controlling our foods, what next, food rations?? This world has gone insane and I know the global elite, powerful corporations (Monsanto), etc., are behind this. 5|2|I wish I could move to an island or something, this is just wrong :(|RebekkaVA|queen_vulture@msn.com|13:55:19|05/09/2009|

It is not even been 100 years since people rely on the land, my dad grew up on farm he's 74 years old...worked the land in order to eat and look at the amish they rely on it to feed there familys and I am sure many other famers big and small grow whatever crops they have to help feed themself and their families. My parents have a small garden big enough to supply enough food for them and then some...and the extra my dad sells to local people and a resturant to earn money to go for food to put on the table...it really does help them and if taken away that right, they would suffer.

One person caring about another represents life's greatest value.
