3 bedroom, and 2 bath (once DH gets done with the second Bathroom downstairs, he's a little over halfway done :)
There is a family room downstairs with a fireplace that my DH made himself, and my son did use it as a bedroom for a little while.

built by drunk guys in 1920 something. My walls are crooked (don't ask me how that happened), I have a window in my dining room that looks into the extension that was added by the previous owner (thats the best part of the whole house), (don't laugh) blue, stained carpet in the entryway, livingroom and diningroom (stains are impossible to get out ... tried everything) paint covered hardwood (I think) upstairs. You should see my porch ... lol :o) I have one outlet in everyroom, except the bathroom (where there is none). Drain in the basement is clogged with roots from the overgrown bush in the front (it's a tree, but it looks like a bush .. lol).

I love my house .... lmao :o) It's really not that bad. It's definatly a work in progress :o) The upstairs bathroom was redone (and has to be done again coz of the crooked walls ... Bath Fitter might be a good option :o) ) Were working on the kitchen (still), now we just have to paint. We are currently having the house rewired. I can't wait for that to be done. Next up ... New cabinets in the kitchen. The doors have started to fall off. 7|2|LOL @ Drunk Guys Construction....that is too funny !|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|20:53:56|05/02/2009|

It's not bad at all, although I would like something a little bit bigger but not too big. We use to live in a 3,000 sq ft home and it was so big, I loved it but don't miss cleaning it. LOL. Everyone that sees pics of it says that house wasn't a house it was a mansion, well I told them, then I should've had a maid. ROFL....We also lived in a 3 story house years back and it was awesome and set off in the woods by itself, I miss that place. :) Rebekka

Just kidding.

We live in a cape cod my grandfather built about 70 years ago. What I always loved about this house (when I would visit growing up) was all the little "attics" connected to the rooms on the second floor. Front bedroom has a little attic you can walk into. Back bedroom actually has two little attics connected to it, and even the bathroom has a closet that you walk through into a little attic.

Although...even though it sounds pretty roomy, it's kind of not (or maybe I just have too much crap...lol. 13|2|Sounds like your Gpa built a speak-easy! LOL|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|21:16:39|05/02/2009|

Being a capecod, all the attics are on the outer sides of the house so you have to seriously stoop over to get in them. Absolutely GREAT when you're a little kid and those areas are a haven for hiding out...not so great when you're 40+. Although...at least you don't have to crawl through them; you can walk, just stooped over.

2 bdrm up, 1 down..maybe 1500 sq ft total. No basement..I WISH we had one but sometime in the past was filled it in with dirt..then cemented over it. Used to belong to our neighbor farmers wife's parents..grandparents before that. She said the stairs to basement were crumbling so they filled it in. Ugghh. Easier to repair/replace the stairs. What WERE they thinking?!..and here in tornado country reallly could use that as well.
We also have "others" who live here..have touched on that in the past in postings. Talking about non living residents, but we have lived in harmony for 16 yrs now so part of the family here. :) We also have just shy of 5 acres here as well. No horses, chickens etc any longer though..too busy taking care of our 2 special needs girls so no time for animals. Love the quiet here though..lots of wildlife and birds to watch. 31|2|Am I the only one making a connection between the filled-in basement and the "others"??? :O|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|14:08:32|05/03/2009|

Yep..have thought of that but that isn't what is causing it.*grin* I have personally spoke to Joanne..the neighbor whose parents/grandparents owned this house and often spoke w/ Joanne's daughter as well. From what I gathered they just didn't want to deal with the basement..take it was just dirt not finished off etc. They even just left the oil tanks for heating in there as you can see the pipes still sticking out of the ground.
Only person to die in this house was Joannes dad..literally died at the supper table. But what we see/feel here is a very young girl dressed in a white dress, long hair..maybe around 4-6 yrs old...then there is a distinct feeling of a woman..can smell her 'old timey' perfume when I make anything from scratch baking..like homemade cookies etc. but the smell is like something from the time frame of "little house on the prarie' type thing. We also get a smell of smoke/campfire/burnt wire type smell..but nothing is on fire of course and this has happens here and there usually in the middle room of the house.

Of course, this is the same room where someone actually seen the little girl one night..also same room where you cannot sleep on the floor or you will feel 'something' or 'someone' move thru your entire body. For some reason, they do not want you to sleep on the floor there. *shrug* Now you can sit on the rocking chair in that spot all night, no problem but not lay on the floor. Go figure, huh?

Anyhoo..have had a number of people all think that 'they' are of a different time frame..before the house was built. So thinking it may have been a settlement or settler's home etc in the past and some bad thing happened to them to keep them here etc.

We noticed we it gets very active when there are people here with a 'lot' of energy or if someone comes here who has a 'negative' energy...really riles them up. Thankfully been quite for quite a while now and that is good..lol 36|4|Ohhhh, goosebumps! Sounds like what you have is some people who are either remaining or are possibly imprinted, maybe some of both....very interesting, Kathy! :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|15:25:17|05/03/2009|

out someone has stolen some things from it. Lived here 16 yrs and not happened before. Uggh. Waiting on the cops to come and take a report. Maybe the 'ghosts' would have scared them away! lol Must have gotten 'interruped' as they dropped the fishing poles and tackle boxes by our horse barn backside northeast corner in the yard. Hubby just found them mowing a bit ago. Wasn't there a week or so ago. Gotta figure out what else is gone besides the chain saw. Well..good way to clear out the garage..needs it but really..not like that! lol

Sad we are going to have to lock vehicles and put locks on all the barns etc now. We have a really good idea who did it, but to prove it is another thing. 38|6|Kathy, that's awful :( I live in a Mayberry town too, but I still lock the house, cars, etc....the times, they are a-changin' :(|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|15:42:10|05/03/2009|

upstairs has two bedrooms and full bath, main level has living room, kitchen and dining area, second level is a huge family room and full bath and fourth level is a bedroom and utility room. Central air, two car garage, double deck on the back and huge fenced in yard for my daughter and the dog. Only seconds from the lake and I love it here. Been here 5 years moving from a bad section of another city that was nothing but drug dealers, robberies and shootings. I thank God everyday when I drive into our city for allowing me the opportunity to be able to afford to live here. 43|1|2 family house|CJDJ112366|Lintaos@optonline.net|20:22:37|05/03/2009|
