She went to the hospital last night. They believe the placenta dislodged. I forget the techincal term this moment my brain is fried. I didn't sleep most of last night worried about her and Baby Lou. They had just given her all the pain meds required and his heart rate plummeted. They took him real fast and the only thing my mom has been told thus far is he's on oxygen. I'm freaking cause they aren't telling anythign and that's usually not a good sign. Pray for him and my sister please.

He's on a CPAP (at least I think that's what she called it) something that goes around his body to help his lungs keep moving so he keeps breathing. They can't touch or hold him yet he's still behind glass. They said maybe in a day or two. My sister did not require the transfusion and she was able to sit in a wheelchair and be rolled down to see him. He is 6lbs 4oz. He was a little over six weeks early.

Apgar is 7-8.

Which is fantastic!! He should be off the CPAP as of tomorrow some time. They are already starting to trickle it back so he's doing more and more of the work. They have a sugar water tube going down his throat. My sister is pumping meanwhile. They are going to introduce a little bit of breastmilk at a time. My sister is now in a wheelchair. The last I heard at four my sister went down with her hubby to see her baby for only the second time. There are only two people allowed in to see him at a time. But the nurse got my mom and told her she could come in and take pictures of my sister, her dh, and Baby Louie. I can't wait to see them!!

he might have been a 10 lb baby and she might not have been able to deliver. this could be a good thing.
