Gwen,
I think if he really wants to go He needs to wear his suit. I am pretty sure Not everyone is wearing tuxes.
It is his 8th grade prom not his Sr. prom. I understand as a mom we want to give them what they want but we need to teach them to be glad for what we can give them. I will be praying for you.

Try Ebay, see if a friend has one that you could borrow or get your son and go to Walgreens and get all the freebies and do a yardsale.

6|4|Gwen have you called the school and ask if most/all the boys wear a tux? We don't have an 8th grade prom here but it seems alot to ask of an 8th grader|teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|13:23:02|04/29/2009|

Maybe there is a charity near you that will provide a loaner tux? I know around here they have a charity and the name of it is not in my memory bank at the moment, but perhaps there is something like that near you? I would call his school and ask if there are any local charities that might be able to help? Just an idea. 12|1|Post a want on freecycle|brainyblonde|brainyblonde@prodigy.net|19:36:20|04/29/2009|

It can't hurt, and someone must just have one hanging in the closet.

I have never heard of schools having an eighth grade Prom but I know I spent $150 for my senior son's tux this year. Hope you can get the funds together.
