I registered Bud Prepaid Master Card online. I just got off the phone with a customer service rep (because the card still wasn't activated) and he told me that I can only use the card to buy alcohol. Is this true? The info that came with it says I can use it wherever Master Card is displayed and that if the purchase is over $20.00 to pay the overage first. PLMK. I want to use this in about a couple of hours. Thanks in advance.

Groceries, gas, online purchases, etc. That's what I did anyway. HTH. :)
ETA: The only thing you cannot do w/it is get cash back, which isn't a big deal cuz it can be used just like cash anyway.

they can input $20.00 credit and then you swipe your card and the remainder can be paid another way.
but if they don't know what they are doing you'll need to pay the overage in cash first. hth

not because the cashier does not know what they are doing, but because that is how are systems are set uo....I was a front end cashier trainer at my store, so am sure of this. i've never had a problem using these cards this way as long as the cashier knows how to enter the correct info.
and my cvs's WILL take the cards. (someone else had posted that their cvs won't take them)
